I thought I was better than that.
Really? How could I do that?!!!
How could I do the very thing that I hate so much?
It doesn’t make sense. It’s fruitless. It’s insanity. Not to mention self-sabotage.
You’re probably wondering, “What it is it already?”
Okaaaay…..but I’m not proud of it.
I gave my husband conditional love. The kind of love that definitely doesn’t last. You know the love that says, “I love you as long as you love me. I’ll do this for you if you’ll do that for me, or you didn’t do that for me, so I won’t do that for you.
Yes, I felt my husband wasn’t not loving me the way I wanted to be loved. In response to his actions, I decided that I wouldn’t give him what he needed, too.
“There!” I thought. Let’s see if you change your ways now.
Not only is this wrong, but very manipulative and somewhat controlling in a subtle way.
Then I had an epiphany. A light bulb came on.
“You’re going to get what you give!” I thought to myself.“You’re going to get what you give!” Click To Tweet
Of course, you sow what you reap. That’s the Law of Reaping and Sowing. I even have a course on that very topic of karma. What goes around, comes around. It turns out, the very holding back of true love from my husband was preventing me from being loved by him, which is what I most desire.
I am so happy that I woke up from that disastrous train of thought, and I beseech you my sisters to examine yourself as well. Are you giving your husband unconditional love?
Unconditional love is the love of God, agape love. Love that lasts forever. agape love, will never stop loving you no matter what you do. That’s the kind of love I want. Don’t you?
Begin to sow unconditional love to your husband, and see how much of a change it makes in your marriage for the better. Unconditional love is fearless! Unafraid to take a risk. Not caring whether or not you will receive love back. Be completely satisfied by being the giver of agape love. Take a look at love everlasting.
Love healing hearts,
