Before

baby lying on white fur with brown blanket
Spread the love

I think back to the days,

When I was a baby.

What was that like?

Before I was touched,

Before I was scarred,

Before I was born.
Before, when I was in the womb.

God formed me there,

He knew what I would choose.

How was I then?

Did I smile twice as much?

Did I cry to the touch?

Did I love half as much?

As I do now.

That love would be enough.

To turn my frown,

Upside down.

To turn my pout,

Into a shout!

To turn my way,

To the brightness of the day.

Shining through the night,

These thoughts are a world of light.
