Today, I’m looking at your heart’s desire inspired by my original song, Righteous Forsaken. We’ve talked through most of the song, and today, we’re getting into the second verse. Stick around and let’s explore the desires of your heart.
Whether you’ve been following along or just stumbled upon this blog, welcome! It’s always a blessing when the Lord brings us together, just like now. We all want relationships that stand on solid ground – the rock, which is Jesus Christ. When our relationships are founded on Him, they’re unshakeable, unlike those built on sand that get washed away.
Now, let’s get personal. Have you ever been in a relationship that felt all wrong? I have, and even if things look good, they might not be what God has in mind for you. It won’t work if you’re not meant to be with someone. But the beautiful thing is, you can change direction. Surrender your situation to God. It’s called course correct.
I’ve created the Relationship Rescue Plan to help you hear God’s voice in your relationships. It’s a guide with questions that will point you in the right direction. It’s free, easy to use, and designed to help you find the right path for your relationships. You can download it right here.
Alright, now let’s get back to the song. I shared a verse that asks about the desires of your heart. What do you truly want? Psalm 37:4 says if you delight in the Lord, He’ll give you those desires. Spend time with Him. Sing to Him. He loves that, just like a parent loves when their child wants to hang out with them. The more you enjoy being with God, the more He’ll bless your life.
Your relationship with God can be as simple as spending time in His presence. Talk to Him, read His word, sing. It might not always be easy, like fasting may not be fun, but it’s all about loving and cherishing Him. As you do, God will surprise you with what you truly want.
And remember, Jesus loves you so much. Just like any parent, He wants what’s best for you. He’s waiting to hear from you. So, go ahead, spend some time with Him today. Delight in His presence and see how it transforms your life.
I want to pray for you—Father God, be with everyone reading this. Help them to truly delight in You, read Your word, worship, and sing. Then, Lord, grant them the desires of their hearts.
God bless, Shirah Chante, Relationship Artist
