Are you ready to draw closer to your true calling and leave those nagging worries behind? I’m Shirah Chanté, Relationship Artist, here to walk with you on this creative journey of faith. I talked about the clarity of vision on the latest show of Teens Draw Near to God podcast. Listen and be inspired!
An Invitation to Vision
Let’s start by thinking about the vision that drives your heart. It’s something that’s uniquely yours, like a blueprint for your life. When we talk about vision, I’m not referring to fleeting dreams, but the profound understanding that guides your path. In the book of Habakkuk, we’re advised to “write the vision, make it plain.” This means our visions should be clear and purposeful, something I aspire to share through poetry and art.
Teens Navigating a Challenging World
Teenage years can indeed be challenging. If you’re a teen, or someone who nurtures teens, you know this is a phase full of questions and transitions. Everything you experience seems to come with a life changing decision tagged along. This show was inspired by those very moments, particularly watching preteens learn, and now, it’s a space dedicated to helping you find your spiritual footing.
My Preteen Adventure
I remember my own preteen journey vividly. I led a club called “Preteen Sweets,” with songs and little raps about our names. Back then, a show like this would have been a sanctuary for me! It’s vital to invest in this age group, to guide them through the noise and support their soulful connection with God.
Don’t Worry, Embrace Faith
Worry and anxiety can cloud your vision. We’ve all been there, asking ourselves the big questions: What will I become? Will I be happy? The reality is, worry adds nothing beneficial, only stress and confusion.
Jesus advises us beautifully in Matthew 6:25-34, urging us not to worry because He knows what we need. I’ve lived through times of uncertainty, once living in an office building in Beverly Hills with no money, and yet, He provided for me miraculously. It’s a testament to His promise, aren’t we more valuable than birds and lilies? So let’s lean into that thought.
Align with Your True Vision
Here’s my encouragement to you: don’t let worry disrupt your vision. Imagine the clarity you can gain by focusing on what truly matters. When you let go of fears and doubts, you are in perfect alignment with your divine path. Like crafting art, nurturing your vision is both a practice of letting go and embracing what’s meant for you.
The poem Vision from my book Jaundiced View: Desire, Love, Hate Religion illustrates this theme. Remember, your vision is your spiritual compass. Let God handle the details as you confidently step forward.
So, love God, love yourself, and love others. With each step forward, may your vision become even brighter and clearer.
God bless, Shirah Chanté, Relationship Artist
