Embracing Love and Light in Troubling Times

Hi, I’m Shirah Chanté, Relationship Artist, here to bless God’s people and help build relationships that last. Today, I want to share an original song and some heartfelt reflections that have resonated deeply with me during challenging times. This post is inspired by a recent episode of my podcast, “Righteous Forsaken: Light of the World.”

Love and Peace in Difficult Situations

As a foundation, I want to recount a personal experience during my marriage when the Holy Spirit whispered “love and peace” into my ear during a tumultuous season in my life. Though the circumstances surrounding my marriage were filled with tension and eventual separation, I found solace and strength in those words. Embracing this divine counsel allowed me to maintain love and peace in my heart, regardless of the external chaos.

A Heartfelt Prayer for California

Recently, the devastating fires in California have affected many, including friends in Pacific Palisades—a place dear to my heart as my children attended schools there. This has been a distressing time for everyone touched by the tragedy. My prayers extend to all suffering from this traumatic loss, irrespective of social status, because losing a home impacts every aspect of one’s being.

The Power of Being a Light

In these dark times, it’s essential for us to embody the light of the world, as Jesus teaches in Matthew 5:14, “Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.” We must extend our love, peace, and support not only here in California but globally, as numerous challenges threaten to overshadow hope. By committing to acts of kindness and compassion, we shine a powerful light that others desperately need.

The Song Righteous Forsaken

Tonight, I shared the song “Righteous Forsaken,” which I wrote years ago and has touched many hearts. The song reminds us that true wealth lies not in material possessions but in the light we carry within us. This inner light, the love of God manifested through our good deeds, is invaluable and essential, especially now.

Letting Your Light Shine

We are called to let our light shine so others can see our good deeds and praise God. Whether it’s through forgiving others, offering help, praying, or just spreading kindness, these actions create a beacon of hope. Even if it seems unnoticed, remember that there is a divine account for every good deed, promising a bounteous harvest in due season.

Encouragement and Gratitude

As we navigate life’s ups and downs, it is vital to remain grateful for what we have. Many are without basic necessities right now, and our continued gratitude and goodwill can make a difference. We are not to hide our light; the world needs us more than ever to step forward and share the message of love and resilience.

I pray for everyone, especially those in California dealing with the aftermath of the fires. Let us continue to love God, ourselves, and each other while shining our brightest in the face of adversity.
