Welcome to a special moment where we delve into the power of prayer and the unfathomable love of God. I’m Shirah Chanté, Relationship Artist, committed to healing hearts through the arts. Today, I’m focusing on a subject that’s close to my heart, a midnight prayer for single mothers. As a single mother myself, I understand the journeys and challenges you face, and I’m here to embrace this time with you through prayer and God’s infinite love.
The Genesis of Midnight Prayer
I felt a deep calling to start midnight prayer, making this my fourth session. The experience of prayer has been ingrained in me since my childhood. The Lord’s Prayer was taught to me by my mother and uncle while I was praying on my knees next to my mom’s bed. From learning The Lord’s Prayer to fervently carrying my burdens to God, prayer is my go to source of strength and steadfast communication with Father God. Our Heavenly Father’s presence reminds us that even amidst worldly adversity, His love is unconditional.
Single Motherhood: A Journey of Faith
For years, I travel the path of a single mom, and each step is filled with the grace and guidance from God. In my podcast “Teens Drawn Near to God,” I share the testimony of how Jesus saved my son and steered me toward embracing motherhood at a time when I felt unprepared. This is His miracle, and my children are living proof of God’s divine intervention.
Whether you are a single mom like me or know someone who is, you can acknowledge the challenges, the joy, and the depths of love that define our journey. Raising children without a partner may seem daunting, but our true identity as mothers springs from God, our eternal Father and the primary source of our strength and validation.
Scriptural Encouragement for Single Mothers
This biblical scripture, rich in encouragement for single moms, found in 2 John verse 1, speaks directly to the “elect lady and her children,” a testament to God’s love and truth for single moms. Everyone who knows and cherishes the truth loves single mothers wholeheartedly, free from judgment and prejudice.
A Hymn to Uplift the Spirit
“What a Friend We Have in Jesus” resonates deeply within our hearts the assurance that Jesus carries our pain and offers peace. This hymn serves as a reminder of Christ’s unending friendship, especially cherished by the single mother who cherishes God’s comforting presence in her home.
A Prayer for Single Mothers
As I lift my voice in worship, I pray earnestly for every single mother. I ask for God’s protection, provision, and love to overflow in your life. God cherishes your journey and is ready to use you in boundless ways in ministry and within your community. Believe in God’s purpose for you, and let His strength and holiness lead you and your children in faith and joy.
The Holy Spirit in Your Child’s Life
God’s desire is for your children to be filled with the Holy Spirit from an early age. Just as John the Baptist was filled with the Holy Spirit, even in the womb, so can your little one experience God’s fullness. Encourage a spiritual environment through Christian stories, songs, and movies, strengthening their heart’s bond with God.
Let God’s peace guard your heart night and day. Remember, single mom, that your struggles are seen, your efforts are honored, and your love is a living testament to God’s enduring promises. May you continue to love God, love yourself, and extend love to others. Be secure in knowing you are never alone. God is with you. Walk with confidence in His divine plan for your life and your children’s lives.
God bless, Shirah Chanté, Relationship Artist
