Healing Broken Hearts: Drawing Near to God for True Love

Welcome to a conversation that might just touch your heart and soul. Let’s chat about something so many of us have been through, healing broken hearts and discovering true love. I’m Shirah Chante, Relationship Artist, and today, I want to invite you into a space where we explore faith, love, and healing, through poetry based on a new episode of Teens Draw Near to God podcast.

Drawing Near to God

First things first, I want you to know you’re not alone in your journey. Life can feel overwhelming, especially when you’re young and navigating relationships. Whether you’re a teenager, a parent, or someone who works with youth, let’s draw near to God together and find solace in His presence.

A Poem to Heal and Inspire

Today, I’m sharing a poem titled Silver Sapphire or Gold. It’s a piece from my book, and it reflects a personal journey of searching for love and battling moments of despair. Poetry was my therapy when I was in college just trying to find peace and purpose. It helped me express all my emotions, both joy and sadness, and led me to a deeper understanding of what truly matters in life.

Understanding True Love

So, how do we know when true love is near? It can feel like a complex equation, can’t it? But here’s what I’ve found out while seeking for my very own true love, “It isn’t about enduring broken hearts until you finally find the right one. Instead, it’s about preparing your heart by seeking guidance from God.”

Let’s be real. You don’t have to rush into relationships because others are doing it or because of societal pressure. There’s no rush, my friend. True love will come at the right time, and it will reflect the love God has for us, a love that’s patient and kind.

Emotionally Ready for Love

Have you ever found yourself tangled up in relationships that led to heartache? I’ve been there, too. It’s easy to feel lost and led astray. But remember, God’s love is a healing balm. Imagine His healing salve soothing your heart right now, preparing you for a love that’s genuine.

Guard your heart wisely. Protect it from those who might not have your best intentions in mind. And when you feel that red flag rising, leave. Yes, just leave. You have so much more to focus on, including your growth, your studies, and discovering your unique purpose.

The Road to Healing

I’m here to pray with you and for you, especially if you’ve been hurt or mistreated. Maybe you’ve experienced something that’s hard to talk about, like being taken advantage of. Trust that God sees your pain and wants to heal every part of your heart. His love is endless, capable of transforming your hurts into something beautiful.

Stay hopeful, my friend. Protect your heart without becoming hardened. Love is meant to be shared, but it should be respectful and life-giving. Keep nurturing your relationship with God, and in time, the love meant for you will find its way to your life, naturally and beautifully.

I hope today’s poem has touched you in a healthy way. As we continue this journey together, I want you to remember that I’m here to help you love God, love yourself, and love others.

Till next time, we’ll continue exploring the saga of love with Silver Sapphire or Gold, diving deeper into what it means to love and be loved.

God bless, Shirah Chante, Relationship Artist
