Let’s start by drawing near to God, shedding fear, and opening our hearts. The bible says that God rewards you when you seek Him (Hebrews 11:6). It’s true! Whether you’re a teenager, a parent of one, or anyone working with youth, our time together is meaningful. You’re making a positive choice by listening, reflecting, and sharing in this moment. Especially today, because I wrote a poem called Mystery, and shared it on my Teens podcast. Poetry has a special way of helping us explore emotions and understand feelings that might be hard to express otherwise.
Feelings of Being Broken
Imagine feeling like you’re not beautiful or enough, no matter how many times someone tells you differently. It’s a common feeling when your heart is broken or you’ve been through tough times like neglect or abuse. You might remember a song that gets stuck in your head, reminding you of a time when you felt torn apart and unable to accept love.
Let Art Lighten the Load
Discussing heavy topics through poetry can lighten the emotional load. Art is a beautiful tool for expression and reflection. If you need guidance in your relationships, whether with God or others, consider exploring my Relationship Rescue Plan.
Facing Life’s Challenges
The poem also explores a difficult experience of loss. It’s important to recognize that certain actions, like an abortion, can bring about deep feelings of regret, pain, and sorrow. If you’re in a place where you feel scorned or unnatural, know that healing is possible. It’s okay to seek counseling, therapy, and support from God during these times. Lean on those who care about you and will support you. These people are heaven-sent into your life.
Sometimes, you have the chance to be heaven-sent for others. If you know someone facing a tough decision, like whether to keep a child, your support and kind words can make a difference. You could be the positive influence they need. Life can feel mysterious, especially when you’re unsure about why certain things happen. Actions have consequences and understanding that can help guide your choices. Remember, what you do will come back to you. Make choices that lead to blessings, not burdens.
I pray for you to be heaven-sent for someone in need. Remember, you’re loved by God, and you have the power to make a positive impact on the world around you.
Until we talk again, remember to love God, love you, and love others.
