Jeep Days

I have been rejected because of race,
Rejected because of hate.
I knew I could not kill myself
Because that would be the most horrible sin.
God knows the number of hairs on my head.
God, take me out of this world I hate.
Take me out before it’s too late.
I want to live with you in heaven.
God, please answer my cry.
As I fall asleep in the back of my Jeep
Under the bright light of the night,
I awake the next morning.
Still, I am alive.
