River: Navigating Life’s Flow with Faith and Resilience

I hope you’re ready to go on a meaningful journey with me today. I’m thrilled to welcome you to another exciting discussion about an episode of Teens Draw Near To God poetry podcast. I’m your host, Shirah Chanté, Relationship Artist, blessed to share music, art, and poetry with you.

Drawing Near Without Fear

Let’s begin with a powerful promise that encourages us to draw near to God without fear. The Lord assures us that He gives us power over all our enemies. Yet, you might find yourself questioning God when you’ve been hurt in life. I hear you. But remember, as we unravel these layers, it’s all about peeling away the pain bit by bit, much like peeling an onion, until we reach healing.

Understanding Our Needs and Knowing Our Power

Our talk today is inspired by a special poem from my book, Jaundiced View. The title is River, a short but profound piece reflecting on how life flows much like a river. It’s a constant reminder that life isn’t static; it’s about learning to flow and adapt. Whether it’s dealing with teen challenges or rediscovering your own path, the key is to be part of life’s ever-moving river.

Life: A River Full and Flowing

Imagine a full river, forceful and continuous. Life is much like this, constantly propelling us. Have you allowed yourself to be stagnant lately? Didn’t go after your dreams? Remember, life flows with or without us, so it’s up to us to stay afloat, maybe even grab a kayak, metaphorically speaking, and journey down the river of life.

Void Moments and Overcoming Them

Everyone has days when they feel void, heavy, and even empty. Losses, like the ones I’ve faced, remind us of these feelings. But let me tell you, there is always a gentle remedy available. The joy of the Lord is our strength, and finding joy, even in little things, helps fill that void. Sometimes, it’s about turning to God and letting His presence lift you.

Sowing and Reaping: Life is Gently Sowing

Our daily choices shape us through the natural law of sowing and reaping. Just like life, it’s reciprocal. Every decision plants a seed, so let’s be deliberate on what we’re sowing today. Envision a brighter tomorrow by nurturing positive seeds in your life.

Kneading and Knowing: The Journey to Glowing

The concept of kneading, whether dough or life’s experiences, can be exhaustive but necessary. Ask yourself, what do you need? And remember, God promises to supply all our needs. As we embrace both our needs and our work, we begin to glow from within, showcasing our God given knowledge and capabilities.

The Ultimate Power Source

And let’s not forget the source of our strength, our Heavenly Father. He has all the power we need to transcend adversity. This power is rooted in faith through Jesus Christ. Acknowledge this divine supply and let it empower you to navigate life’s river with grace and confidence.

A Prayer for Your Path

May you embrace the flow of life, may your needs be met, and may you shine with the knowledge you gain on this journey. Remember, you are loved by God, love yourself, and extend that love to others.
