The Lord’s Prayer starts off by saying “Our Father.” Prayer is simply talking to God, like having a chat with someone who cares deeply about you. It’s a way we can connect with God, thanking Him for our daily needs and asking for forgiveness. Before praying, I love to take a moment to worship and thank God. Sometimes, I just say “Thank you, Lord” over and over. You’d be surprised how peaceful it feels to take a moment and show gratitude for everything both big and small. It’s like letting the worries melt away as we focus on God’s love and kindness.
One is Your Father
Let’s talk about our topic tonight: “One is Your Father”. It comes from Matthew 23:9. Jesus teaches us that we have one true father in heaven, our Heavenly Father. Even if your earthly father isn’t present in your life, or things aren’t perfect, know that your Heavenly Father loves you greatly. He is the Father who never stops loving you, no matter what you do. In fact, nothing, absolutely nothing, can separate us from God’s love.
Your Heavenly Father accepts you just as you are. Whether you’re dealing with guilt over mistakes or trying to overcome challenges, remember, there is no sin too big for God to forgive. He loves you, and His love is unconditional. If you’re wondering how to change or break free from habits you don’t like, start by asking God for help. He is always willing to guide and support you through tough times.
Understand that God is your true Father, the one who stands by you always. If you’ve never made the decision to accept God’s love, it’s not too late. Believe in Jesus and the sacrifice He made for you on the cross. It only takes a simple prayer, confess the Lord Jesus with your mouth and believe in your heart. You are now a child of God.
