I’m here to help you build loving and peaceful relationships that last. Today, we’ll talk about the essence of Cling to the Fall, a song about broken humanity from the point of view of Revelation 2:5, to reconnect with your first love.
It’s a blessing to share with you about your most important relationship with God. He’s your Creator and knows you better than anyone else. Trusting Him will guide you through all personal relationships and everything in between.
The Meaning Behind Cling to the Fall
Now let’s explore the song, Cling to the Fall. You might be wondering, why cling to the fall when it symbolizes humanity’s downfall with Adam and Eve? Well, the fall reminds us of where we came from and how vital it is to stay grounded in our faith and beginnings.
When writing this song in my dorm room years ago, I pondered why the Holy Spirit led me to this title. Despite considering changes, the message stayed clear—it’s about remembering where you came from. It teaches us to remember Eve’s deception and Adam’s disobedience to ensure we do not stray from the path God lays before us.
Reflecting on First Love
Revelation 2:5 advises us to consider how far we’ve fallen and calls us to repent. I believe it means reconnecting with our first love, that pure state of being close to God before everything else took over. Do you remember the passion you had when you first loved Him? It’s about capturing that love once again and holding onto it.
Lessons from Clinging to the Fall
The journey of life can lead us to celebrate achievements or fame, just like Hollywood stars. But sometimes, we can forget where we came from. That’s why clinging to our past helps us stay true to ourselves and our faith.
Remembering allows you to maintain balance in life no matter the success or trials. Cherish memories and lessons past to help channel your current growth.
I pray that you cling to the fall, cherish your first love, and continue doing the wonderful works you did at the start of your walk with Christ. Remembering and staying grounded will help guide you as you succeed and grow.
