Hi everyone, it’s Shirah Chanté, your relationship coach, called by God in the summer of 2010 to help His people with relationships. As we approach Valentine’s Day, some people get giddy about that holiday. Maybe in my yesteryears I did,, however, I do want to expound on the theme of love. Last week we talked about love being in the air, and the Holy Spirit led us to talk about the heart of a person, getting to know their heart, not just what they look like on the outside, how much money they have, what kind of car they drive, or what kind of house they live in. Those external things can all change very easily in our world today. But the heart? That’s deeper work. That usually takes the Holy Spirit.
I have it in my heart to read 1 Corinthians chapter 13 the love chapter. This chapter helps us understand what love is, how love behaves, what love does. We say we love someone, but what does that mean? Love is not just something we say, it’s something we do. Love is an action. God is love.
Apostle Paul says, “Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal.” I can speak in heavenly languages, but without love, I’m just noise. Then he says, “Though I have the gift of prophecy and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.”
That is major. I can move mountains with my faith. But if I don’t have love in my heart, if I’m not moving that mountain to help anyone, if I’m doing it for selfish ambition so I can be seen as a mover of mountains, then I am nothing. That’s what the Word says. Without love, it doesn’t matter what gift you operate in, what knowledge you have, what power you display. You are nothing.
There’s nothing greater than love. Love is the greatest.
God bless, Shirah Chante, your relationship coach and artist
