“Help me Jesus, ’cause I need your help. I’m so busy. I have so much going on. All my family members pulling on me, my children, my parents, my friends. Everybody wants me to do this and that for them. But you want me to pray, Lord Jesus, and you are my Lord and you are my Savior and I want to do what you want me to do.
So help me to pray. Help me to get alone with you. Give me a space where I can just be with you, Lord Jesus. Give me a space. Where do I go? What? Where do I go? In my home, in my house? Where? Where can I just be with you and have focus and clarity and energy, and give me the energy to pray?
Lord Jesus energize me. Father God, I’m asking you to energize me. Lord Jesus, energize me so that I can pray. Help me to push past my flesh…
…Help me get into my secret place. Like you want me to. Help me to get into my secret room, my secret car, my secret place where it’s only me and you, Lord God, just me and my Bible.”
