Our love was forsaken
One last rain
Would help me cry,
Again and again.
The weather contains me.
Boundaries.
Set all about me.
Redemption is weak,
Ego is forsaken.
Trials end in bitter defeat.
My soul was truly mistaken,
Such is life’s retreat.
Mountains float into the sea,
Fate reaches out to me,
Like a shadow life proceeds,
Transcending reality.
Syrophonician queens
Plead with Jesus,
Cast this demon out of me.
Out of my body,
Out of my hair,
Out of my navel,
Is my prayer.
Feed me.
I’m a worthless dog,
I know it too.
But if you loved dogs
The way I do,
You would love me too.
I said,
I do, I do,
I do love you.
