“Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.” Psalm 16:11

In the latest episode of the Teens Draw Near to God podcast, Glee: Happy New Year, we kicked off the year talking about how to grow closer to God by building spiritual habits like prayer, worship, and reading Scripture. One of the most powerful reasons to do this? Joy.

Psalm 16:11 tells us that in God’s presence, there is fullness of joy. Not a temporary high, not a shallow smile, but real, lasting joy that comes from walking with Him daily.

You don’t have to wait for a perfect moment to experience this. Whether you’re riding the bus to school, doing homework, or just sitting in your room, you can stop and say, “God, help me feel Your presence.” That’s drawing near to God, and it brings joy.

Today’s Challenge

Pause today and invite God into your moment. Turn on a worship song, take a deep breath, and remember He’s near. His presence is your joy.
