Today on my Love Again Lesson of the Day, I shared a simple instruction: finish what you started. This comes from 2 Corinthians 8:10, where Paul urges the church to complete the good work they began a year ago. As we stand in October 2025, with 2026 right around the corner—and after just celebrating Rosh Hashanah—it’s the perfect moment to reset.
What did you start in 2025 that slipped away? Maybe you lost your grip on it. Life happened. It escaped you. But it still matters. If it’s still on your heart, get to it.
Here’s your next step. Take five minutes. Write down five or six things you started in 2025 that you will complete in 2026:
- The project you paused but can still finish.
- The habit you began but didn’t sustain.
- The relationship you meant to repair.
- The class or certification you opened but never closed.
- The health step you started but stopped.
- The ministry idea you planned but postponed.
Now, get ready. Don’t wait for January 1 to prepare. Start gathering what you need. Set the first dates. Block the time. Tell a friend. Small steps now make big wins possible later.
Remember our promise: Jesus is the author and finisher of our faith (Hebrews 12:2). And He who began a good work in you will bring it to completion (Philippians 1:6). You are not finishing alone. The One who started it with you will finish it through you.
So let’s begin again. Let’s make 2026 the year we complete what God put in our hands. Finish what you started, and watch how God finishes it with you.
God bless, Shirah Chante, Relationship Artist
